The Lost Rhapsody: A World War II Survival Story and Musical Legacy

An exclusive screening of David Hoffert’s acclaimed documentary, The Rhapsody, about
composer and Holocaust survivor Leo Spellman who, at the age of 98, set out on a riveting and
emotional journey towards artistic liberation.
Following the showing of the documentary, a captivating live concert performance of “Leo
Spellman’s Rhapsody,” a symphonic masterpiece that was lost and forgotten for over 50 years.
The program concludes with a talk-back/Q&A with the film’s creator, Paul Hoffert.
