Shabbat with Rabbi David Golinkin

**Beth Ahm Welcomes Rabbi David Golinkin: Prolific Author and Torah Scholar**

** _Friday, February 21_**
Kabbalat Shabbat begins at 6:00pm and will be followed by a casual dinner.
$10 per person for dinner and registration by February 17 is required.
Rabbi Golinkin will share comments on _The Successes and Challenges of the
State of Israel: A Fifty-Year Retrospective._
**_Saturday, February 22_**
Shabbat morning services begin at 9:30am.
Rabbi Golinkin will deliver the sermon _The State of Judaism in the Jewish
State._

Lunch & Learn begins at approximately 12:00pm with Rabbi Golinkin’s seminar
_How are these Responsa different from all other Responsa?_ – an overview of
Rabbi Golinkin’s Jewish legal writings including recent responsa related to
the current war.

To end Shabbat, at 7:30pm, Rabbi Golinkin will lead Havdalah and a Melaveh
Malkah full of song and enthusiasm for the new week.

Rabbi Professor David Golinkin is President of Schechter Institutes, Inc. and
President Emeritus of the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem,
where he also serves as a Professor of Talmud and Jewish Law. For twenty years
he served as Chair of the _Va’ad Halakhah_ (Law Committee) of the Rabbinical
Assembly which writes responsa and gives halakhic guidance to the Masorti
(Conservative) Movement in Israel. In November 2022, he received the Nefesh
B’Nefesh Bonei Zion Award for his contributions to Israeli society in the
field of education. Rabbi Golinkin is the author or editor of 63 books,
including _Halakhah for Our Time._
