Shabbat in the Sukkah: Building Bridges in Our Community

Join [Hillel of Metro Detroit](https://hillel-detroit.org/), [Mezuzah
Detroit](https://www.mezuzahdetroit.org/), and [Repair the
World](https://www.werepair.org) for a special Shabbat celebration in the
sukkah on **Friday, October 10**. Come hungry for both delicious food and
meaningful conversation as we share a communal dinner and explore Jewish
teachings around community building and bridge building during this beautiful
harvest season. Sukkot invites us to step outside our usual spaces and connect
with our neighbors—both literally and figuratively. We’ll reflect on how the
themes of harvesting, gathering, and creating temporary sacred spaces can
inspire us to build lasting relationships across differences.

This evening is perfect whether you’re deeply connected to Jewish tradition or
just curious about community. All backgrounds and levels of observance are
welcome as we create space for authentic connection and learning together.
