Adamah Adventures: Family Kayak & Canoe Day
**Paddle the Huron River and enjoy the beauty of Proud Lake Recreation Area.**
Our downstream and upstream paddle will be through shallow water and is
perfect for seasoned kayakers and new paddlers alike.
**Kayaks** : Each tandem kayak holds two paddling participants – perfect for a
parent/child pair! This activity is geared toward paddlers ages 8 and up.
**Canoes:** Canoes are available and suitable for 2 adults or 1 adult and 1
child who can paddle, with an additional 100lbs of coolers or kids in the
middle. If you are bringing young children who cannot paddle, you will need
two adults to paddle your canoe. Life vests are required for all and will be
included in your registration.
We will begin with a review of kayak and canoe safety, enjoy paddling along
the river, dive into some open swim time and picnic lunch, and then return
back to our starting point. Please bring any sunscreen, water, and lunch you
need. Additional summer snacks will be provided! There are bathrooms and on-
site parking.
**Registration Fees:**
Adults 16 and up: $25
Youth ages 5-15: $15
Children 4 and under: $5
