AI and Judaism

November 7, 2023 @ 7:30 PM8:30 PM EST

In November of last year, ChatGPT, a cutting-edge AI application, became
available for free to the general public. In the months since then, the Jewish
world has exploded with possibilities about how Judaism might be impacted by
AI and what Judaism might offer the AI conversation in turn. In this
on-line course with David Zvi Kalman we’ll cover the current state of
artificial intelligence, how we might expect Judaism to change as a result of
this new technology, and whether Judaism has a unique response to the question
that a machine can have a soul.

October 31: A crash course in Artificial Intelligence
November 7: What will AI do to Judaism?
November 14: Can a machine be a person?
David Zvi Kalman serves as a scholar-in-residence and Director of New Media at
the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America.
