From the Isaiah Wall to Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, biblical verses are woven
into the fabric of our contemporary lives. Each week, we will learn a
different Biblical phrase memorialized in structure, in idiom or in song. We
will study the text, context and meaning of these celebrated phrases; the
stories they tell about the prophets who said them and reflect upon why they
continue to resonate so powerfully in our modern lives.
