Join us as we learn about the entertaining and significant history of one of the nation’s most unusual post-World War II suburbs: Oak Park, Michigan. A place that produced Nobel Prize winners, entertainers, and politicians before falling on hard times and then reviving.

Author Jack Lessenberry and Mayor Marian McClellan (wife of co-author Keith McClellan, z”l) will explore how this book came to be, Oak Park’s Jewish connections, and the city’s amazing comeback story.

Jack Lessenberry is a contributing editor and columnist for the Toledo Blade.  He has been a writer for many publications, including Vanity Fair, Esquire, George, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Boston Globe.  He also served as the senior news analyst for Michigan Radio.  He is the author or co-author of several books, including Oak Park Rebirth, which he co-wrote with Keith McClellan, z”l.
