Jaffe Bernhard from Kavod v’Nichum.

**January 8:** Introduction to Hevra Kadisha – history, evolution, and what
it looks like today across different communities

**January 15:** Taharah – the sacred act of washing, dressing, and preparing
a body for burial

**January 22: ** Other rituals and opportunities – shmira, nichum aveilim,
and the role of Hevra Kadisha in modern Jewish life
