**Get a jump on this summer’s Detroit JCC Maccabi Games® with a special
matinee screening of two award-winning sports-themed films!**
**At 1:30 PM** , An American coming-of-age sports comedy hit about a group of
young baseball players during the summer of 1962. This family favorite stars
James Earl Jones, among others, winning a Young Artist Award for Outstanding
Young Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
**At 4:00 PM** , Four-time Academy Award-winner (including Best Picture, Best
Original Screenplay, and Best Original Score!). This film classic tells the
true story of two very different men on the same team who vie to win Olympic
gold—building a friendship as strong as their desire to win—while
demonstrating to the world the worth of their deeply held convictions.
Both films will be screened at The Berman.
