**At 1:30 PM** , the Lenore Marwil Detroit Jewish Film Festival proudly
presents a 1992 American coming-of-age sports comedy hit about a group of
young baseball players during the summer of 1962. This family favorite stars
James Earl Jones, among others, winning a Young Artist Award for Outstanding
Young Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
**At 4:00 PM** , the Detroit Jewish Film Festival presents a 1982 four-time
Academy Award-winner (including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and
Best Original Score!). This film classic tells the true story of two very
different men on the same team who vie to win Olympic gold—building a
friendship as strong as their desire to win—while demonstrating to the world
the worth of their deeply held convictions.
Both films will be screened at The Berman.
Pizza, snacks, candy, and drinks will be available and can be purchased in
advance or available at the door, credit cards only.
