Golems and Goos: A Children’s Clay & Story Workshop

March 15 @ 10:00 AM12:00 PM EDT

Calling all creative kiddos! Join artist Melissa Dettloff, creator of the
lovable Goo sculptures you’ve seen around the Downtown Synagogue, for a hands-
on clay workshop and immersive learning experience, geared toward children
ages 4-10 and their grown ups.

We’ll start by learning together about the story of the Golem, a Jewish
folktale about a clay creature magically brought to life to protect the Jewish
community. We’ll also learn more about the Goos and their own special traits,
and then we’ll jump in to making our own clay creatures!

Due to the generosity of donors, subsidized tickets are available at $5 per
child, with no cost for supervising adults. Snacks, drinks, clay, and all
other supplies are included.

Learn more about Melissa:
