Making art is so much more than a pretty picture! It actually contributes to our brain’s ability to adapt and rewire neural pathways, a process known as neuroplasticity. Join us as Art Therapist, Artist and Author Kelly Darke shares research that shows how making art can help increase neuroplasticity to help us in a variety of ways including reducing anxiety, reducing cortisol levels, lowering blood pressure, and improving fine motor skills. There will also be a hands-on portion where we will each be able to make our own art…no previous art ability required!
