Chutzpah is a Yiddish word meaning imprudence or nerve. It also can involve an
expression of audacity, effrontery, gall and temerity. It is a flagrant
boldness that is often not received with positivity. If you have chutzpah, you
may say what you think and not be concerned with hurting someone’s feelings or
getting in trouble. But chutzpah also may be a vital force in empowering
people to do what is right even amid challenges, difficulties and obstacles.
Having chutzpah can allow us to persevere and not be held back from realizing
our greatest moments. Join Rabbi Joseph Krakoff in this soulful examination of
the many faces of chutzpah.
