a nationally recognized Jewish Rock Radio artist, published songwriter, and
founder of the Chicago Sings concert series in addition to hosting her own
Jewish Rock Radio program, Pathways to Prayer, and the online Jewish music
series, Shir Chadash. She proudly serves as the Cantor of Congregation Or
Shalom in Vernon Hills, IL. Cantor Akers is a member of the acclaimed
cantorial trio, Shul Sisters and continues to inspire communities nationwide.
