With the first official day of spring on March 20th and Daylight Savings
beginning on March 8th, we’re celebrating a new season of light and warmth!
Art therapist Taylor Beardsall will lead us in a mindful and expressive
workshop to make sun catchers from pieces of the old Downtown Synagogue
colored windows, which we’ll then use in an immersive Havdalah celebration.
Combining techniques from drawing and beading, everyone will create their own
unique sun catcher to take home. We will reflect on themes of light, balance,
and connection as we create art in community. No art experience necessary –
we’ll guide you through each step of the process! Due to the generosity of
donors, subsidized tickets are available for $15 per person and includes
snacks, drinks, and art supplies. This event is geared toward young adults
ages 21-39.
Young Adult programming at the Downtown Synagogue is generously supported by
Lisa Applebaum.
