Join us for a fascinating evening with Michael Oren! Statesman, historian, soldier, and author — Former Ambassador Michael Oren has devoted his life to serving Israel and the Jewish people around the world. CSZ is excited to provide this unique opportunity to offer in-depth multi-faceted insights into what Israel is facing today.
American born Michael Oren moved to Israel in the 1970’s where he joined the IDF and served with the paratroopers in the 1982 Lebanon War. He later became an advisor to Abba Eban and Yitzhak Rabin and, in 2009, was
appointed Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations. Upon his return to Israel, he was elected to the Knesset and served as Deputy Minister in the Prime
Minister’s office in charge of diplomacy.
He is the recipient of the Statesman of the Year Medal from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, was named by Politico as one of the fifty most influential thinkers in America, by the Forward as one of the five most influential Jews in America, and by the Jerusalem Post as one of the ten most influential Jews worldwide. He has authored numerous books, several of which cover Israeli history and wars, and can be regularly seen on CNN and CBS.
