Lives Well Lived is Metro Detroit’s annual community-wide event celebrating the lives of the extraordinary older adults residing on the campuses of Jewish Senior Life.
We count on our community friends to help us enhance the lives of the older adults who live here with funding for programming in the arts, fitness, and educational activities that ensure the residents don’t just live here, but thrive here.
This year, we will celebrate with a Festival of Storytelling featuring:
Launch of “Don’t Write Me Off!,” a book of personal stories by JSL residents.
Pre-glow and author meet and greet.
Program of film shorts focused on the amazing lives lived by older adults, including “Death Metal Grandma,” and “Wendy’s Shabbat.”
Tribute to filmmaker Sue Marx by journalist Jack Lessenberry,
Showing of Marx’s Academy Award winning documentary “Young at Heart.”
