NEXTWork: Commercial Real Estate Edition

Join us for this special commercial real estate edition of NEXTWork, NEXTGen
Detroit and Gesher Human Services’ professional development and networking
series for young Jewish Detroiters. We’ll be gathering at Broder Sachse in
Detroit for a networking happy hour and panel discussion with four local
leaders in the industry: Aaron Bass, Lou Goldhaber, Julie Trepeck Harris and
Sam Surnow. Whether you’re in commercial real estate or not, come to network,
learn and connect with other young professionals.

$15 ****per person includes parking, beer, wine and kosher-style appetizers.

**Meet Our Panelists**

**Aaron Bass, Partner, Honigman**
Aaron Bass is a real estate attorney with a national practice representing
clients located throughout the U.S. on their coast-to-coast real estate
transactions. Aaron represents a wide range of real estate owners, operators,
and users, focusing in the areas of office, industrial, multifamily,
hospitality and lodging, and retail.

**Lou Goldhaber, Chief of Staff, Sachse Construction**
As Chief of Staff, Lou Goldhaber serves the Sachse enterprise of companies as
an in-house adviser to help ideate, develop, create, and execute key
initiatives and projects throughout our five companies. Lou provides strategic
oversight and supports all entity stakeholders in the development of processes
and plans which continuously raise the bar for not only The Enterprise but
also the real estate and construction industries.

**Julie Trepeck Harris, Senior Attorney, Honigman**
Julie Trepeck Harris focuses her practice on a broad range of commercial and
residential real estate transactions, including acquisition, sale,
development, construction, leasing, financing and dispute resolution. She
represents clients across a variety of industries. Her experience includes
drafting/negotiating purchase and sale agreements and commercial leases, as
well as handling general business and contract matters.

**Sam Surnow, President, The Surnow Company**
Sam studied accounting and finance at the University of Colorado, graduating
with a Master’s Degree from the University’s Leeds School of Business. He held
the position of senior associate in the Alternative Investments Group of
PricewaterhouseCoopers at its New York headquarters. He returned to Michigan
to help with his brother’s startup business and simultaneously started working
in the accounting department of The Surnow Company. Soon after the employees
voted him assistant controller. Sam succeeded his father as president of The
Surnow Company in 2015.

Joshua Bernard and Andrew Luckoff will be moderators of the panel.
