Our Hands in Torah: A Teen Torah Writing Workshop with Rabbi Bec Richman

Join together in a teen program with Rabbi Bec Richman, where we will learn
about the path to becoming a Torah scribe and artist and explore the art of
Torah.

What does it take to become a scribe? What do you do when you make a mistake?
How long does it take to write a scroll? How are the letters written in such
straight lines? How do you form the letters used in sacred texts? We will dive
into these questions and then take a close up look at a Torah scroll.

The final part of our session will be an introductory Hebrew scribing workshop
to get a feel for the letters in written form. You’ll go home with some
materials for practicing more on your own. **Advance registration by January
