The multi-front war in the Middle East continues in the wake of the October 7,
2023 attacks. But the conflict that erupted on February 28 between Iran and
the United States with Israel has added new complexities. The subsequent
40-day war eroded the Iranian regime’s military capabilities significantly.
But following that campaign, a new battle emerged: an economic one. Additional
battle fronts are sure to emerge now, as the conflict evolves. Jonathan
Schanzer breaks down these fronts and their implications for Israel, not to
mention the United States and the wider Middle East.
