Schmier Concert: Black Thread Ensemble

Black Thread Ensemble (BTE) is a dynamic contemporary classical ensemble that
weaves together diverse musical traditions, blending contemporary classical
music with the rich sounds of Eastern European Jewish music (klezmer and
Yiddish song), jazz, and global influences. Under the direction of
percussionist and composer Dr. Lorry Black, BTE features a mix of
instrumentation, including a wide array of percussion, accordion, and other
musical friends, creating a rich and textured sound.
