Slow Down and Sing – Maple Sap Boil, Seed Packing and Havdalah

April 11 @ 5:00 PM8:00 PM EDT

Join Repair the World Detroit and Congregation T’chiyah for a magical evening
rooted in Jewish earth-based tradition! Special guest educator Carly Sugar of
Chamomile Gardens will guide us through a maple sap boil, we will join in song
for Havdalah, and volunteer by seed packing to support Keep Growing Detroit —
all around a campfire in a beautiful Detroit backyard.

Together, we’ll mark the end of Shabbat, celebrate the season, and connect our
Jewish values to the living world around us. Our seed packing service project
will help Keep Growing Detroit offer gardening resources to communities and
people across the city — food justice growing from the ground up.

This event is outdoors, so please dress for the weather and come ready to
gather around the fire. The address will be shared with registered
participants closer to the event date.
