Join us for The Fight for the Right to Food: Hunger & Justice in the Civil
Rights Movement.
Led by Naama Haviv, MAZON’s Vice President of Community Engagement, this tour
will offer a civil rights lens to MAZON’s flagship Hunger Museum
((http://hungermuseum.org/)). The social, cultural, and
political activism of the 1960’s and 1970’s reframed access to food as
fundamental to racial and gender equality and realized a robust response from
the federal government that made ending hunger a very real possibility. This
tour will take place over the course of an hour, with time for questions and
discussion.
Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
