This is Your Bubbie’s Bootlegging: Jewish Detroit During Prohibition

May 28 @ 6:30 PM8:30 PM EDT

**This event is intended for women ages 50ish+. **

It may have been a dry time for Detroit, but there was nothing boring about
it! The Prohibition Era was a period of growth for the Jewish community of
Detroit, and we’re tapping into it. Join WP’s Up Next group and archivists
Robbie Terman and Laura Gottleib for an evening of learning about this roaring
chapter in our history. We’ll talk about how members of the Jewish community
emerged as and leaders, movers and doers during this time, and raise a glass
to them, because they couldn’t (legally, anyway) with craft cocktails demoed
by the barkeeps at Valentine Distilling.

$55 per person includes snacks and drinks.

A kosher food option is available upon request.

**About Up Next **

Up Next is WP’s stage-of-life-group for women 50+ who finally have some time
