Tu B’Av, also known as the Jewish holiday of love, is right around the corner.
That means it’s time to celebrate one of our favorite forms of love: self
love! Young adults are invited to join us for an afternoon full of self love
and wellness activities, where we’ll have the opportunity to unwind, learn
about Tu B’Av, and treat ourselves to a lovely afternoon at VFW Park in Royal
Oak. Feel free to stay the whole time or just swing by for the parts that work
best for you.
Our day will include hands-on crafts (tie-dye included!), opportunities for
mindful movement, a sprinkle of Jewish learning, chair massages, and
refreshing seasonal snacks (smoothie bowl bar anyone?). After the event, Rabbi
Jeff will lead a short bike ride to Lincoln Tap for anyone who’d like to join
him for happy hour! Please see our full schedule below:
3:00-3:45pm Arrival, smoothies and smoothie bowls available from Marilyn’s
Detroit, tie-dye, other self-guided crafts, chair massages, etc.
3:45-4:20pm Girls Gone Fit with Porshe Miles Grant – an exciting, high energy,
beginner-friendly workout that combines cardio, dance, and strength training
(for all genders!)
4:20-4:40pm Cool down with some Jewish learning about Tu B’Av with Rabbi Jeff!
4:40-end Tie-dye, crafts and activities, chair massages still available
5:00(ish) Optional: Bike to Lincoln Tap with Rabbi Jeff (or just meet him
there!)
Due to the generosity of donors, subsidized tickets are available for $12 per
person.
The Well expects all participants to be vaccinated and boosted against
COVID-19. For those who are not, we request that you wear a mask while in all
indoor settings. Of course, masks are welcome for all regardless of
