During the winter months, many people notice changes in mood, energy, and motivation. Symptoms such as sadness, guilt, isolation, low energy, and reduced interest in activities can begin to reinforce one another as daylight hours decrease. Reduced exposure to sunlight can affect the brain’s chemistry, making it more difficult to experience joy and maintain emotional balance.
Join Cici Syms, LMSW-C, for an engaging and informative presentation on the connection between sunlight and brain health. This talk will explore how seasonal changes in daylight can impact mood and contribute to Seasonal Affective Disorder, as well as offer practical, evidence-based tools and strategies to support emotional well-being during the winter months.

*In the event of inclement weather, this program will be offered on Zoom.
