The tradition of helping organizations throughout Metro Detroit and Israel
improve lives continues during Adat Shalom’s 11th Annual volunteer Day.
Volunteers of all ages are invited to be a mensch. Volunteer Day is made
possible thanks to a very dedicated planning committee.
**Projects include, but not limited to:**
* Create no-sew fleece scarves
* Assemble bag lunches and snack bags
* Make tug toys for a local animal shelter
* Pack baby baskets
* Illustrate notebooks for patients in a local hospital
* Tie t-shirts into reusable bags
* Assemble bags dry soup ingredients
* Make food for Chesed Committee’s Shabbat deliveries
* Projects connected to Israel
**Donations appreciated before and/on volunteer day: Collection bins are
downstairs by the Learning Community office.**
* Clean used & clean t-shirts
* Travel & regular size toiletries
* New socks for kids & adults
* Food, towels, blankets, sheets & toys for animals
* New gloves and hats
* Baby items – diapers, wipes, food, & formula
* Feminine hygiene products
* New or gently used kids books
