UPDATE: Very few spots for our Monday 10/23 session are remaining. If you’re
come to this page to register and Monday’s session is full, you’ll be able to
register for another session THURSDAY 10/26. Both sessions will start at 7pm
at a private address in Royal Oak (sent to registrants before the session).
Today, our hearts are with Israel and all effected by this tragic attack. We
stand with Israel, and with all those who dream of peace, and are praying for
the victims of this violence and their families.
The Jewish Wisdom Tradition asks in the Talmud: “What is more important:
learning or action?” The answer: “Learning, as long as it leads to action.” In
response to this violence, The Well is holding space for learning with our
Well, Let’s Talk Israel program.
This third installment of the program (previous gatherings held in May 2021
and August 2023) will facilitate learning through asking and refining
questions. We believe that asking the right questions is the first step on the
path to searching for answers. We commit to sharing this space with openness,
curiosity, and respect.
To best facilitate conversation, this gathering will have limited capacity. If
this session fills up, we’ll open a waitlist and will find a date for a second
session. Location will be in Royal Oak but exact address is TBD and will only
be emailed to registered participants prior to the program. This program is
intended for young adults in their 20s and 30s.
Questions? Contact Rabbi Jeff at rabbijeff@meetyouatthewell.org.
Please Note: This gathering is not a panel discussion or debate. By
registering, you are committing to bringing an open mind, curiosity, and
respect when sharing space with others who you may not always agree with, or
who have a different life experiences than your own. We will ask that phones
be put away so that we can be fully present together.
