Alli works across mediumsof glass\, installation\, video\, and performance to investigate human desire toconnect with the unknowable\, and to reveal the simultaneous lightness andheaviness that is created when the imagined or invisible is labored into thephysical realm. She completed her BFA degree in Glass at University of Hawaiiat Manoa\, graduated with a Master’s in fine art from New York State College ofCeramics at Alfred University\, and currently serves as Associate Professor ofGlass and Glass Area Head at Bowling Green State University\, in Bowling Green\,OH. \nRegistration required. \n_Special Feature in the Upper Gallery:_**“Tchotchke”** — A tribute to AlbertYoung\, legendary artist and founder of Michigan Hot Glass. Professor Lior B. Sternfeld\, Associate Professor of History and JewishStudies at Penn State University\, will explore how Iranian Jews moved from themargins of society to playing a central role in Iran’s nation-building effortsby the 1970s. He will examine how the community navigated the IranianRevolution\, the challenges they faced under the Islamic Republic\, and the roleIranian Jews played in the relationship between Iran and Israel.
