SUMMARY:Jewish Family Service 30th Annual Fall Fix Up
DESCRIPTION:Fall Fix Up helps our most vulnerable clients\, the homebound and older adults\, avoid expensive\, taxing maintenance problems and stay warm through the winter months. \nOn a Sunday morning each November\, JFS coordinates the activities of almost 500 volunteers who fan out across the community to rake leaves\, clean gutters\, wash and winterize windows\, and perform other important jobs around the homes of homebound older adult clients to help them get ready for winter. The beneficiaries of these efforts are clients of Jewish Family Service’s case management programs and include Holocaust Survivors\, disabled and limited-mobility community members\, and others in acute need of assistance. \nIn total\, Fall Fix Up volunteers help maintain the homes of more than 40 Jewish Family Service elderly clients\, along with JARC residences.
