The genre-blending acoustic duo featuresJacob Warren (double bass and tenor bass) and Grant Flick (violin\, tenorguitar\, nyckelharpa). Their original music is rooted in folk\, jazz\, andclassical traditions\, inviting yet exploratory\, with a strong improvisationalthread. The duo shares their work through performances\, workshops\, andpublished sheet music. Together they have released three albums of originalmusic: Kestrel (2019)\, Waxwing (2022)\, and Cormorant (2025). \nBoth Jacob and Grant are graduates of the University of Michigan School ofMusic\, Theatre & Dance. In 2023\, Jacob won first prize in the InternationalSociety of Bassists Solo Competition\, and in 2025\, Warren & Flick were invitedto headline the ISB Convention in Tallahassee\, Florida.
