NCJW | MI presents Fall Focus: RADICAL CIVILITY: FOSTERING CONNECTIONS IN A COMBATIVE WORLD

Antisemitism, racism, fear mongering and hate…this year’s Fall Focus will be geared towards moving away from our anxieties and frustrations of these topics to find some working solutions that we can personally implement. Barbara Rosenthal, Featured Speaker: National Council of Jewish Women, Michigan (NCJW | MI) Advocacy Awardee Barbara is a long-time volunteer for NCJW | MI. She is passionate about everything she does, and especially passionate about NCJW. She has co-chaired many fundraising events for NCJW, she sits on the B2SS steering committee, as well as giving her time to working at Bookstock. Barbara’s advocacy work is quite extensive. She was on the VNP (Voters Not Politicians) committee where she spent many months gathering signatures for a specific ballot issue. She served on the NCJW Election 2020 committee working on the “Let’s Both Vote Campaign” to encourage kids to vote with their grandparents or other relatives. Barbara also worked with Temple Israel on voting issues to coordinate the Temple with NCJW on many mutual concerns. Barbara also sits on our Advocacy & Elections Committee and the Gun Violence Prevention Committee.
